How's it goin', eh? I'm a 32 year old recently divorced son-of-a goat farmer from Canada. I'm thinking about moving to your town and am looking for fun things divorcees can do. There are some great outlets for fishing around the state...hiking and camping are also in high supply. If you're looking for traditional shenanigans in the form of clubs...Burlington is your best bet. There are some nice little pub type places in Montpelier. Small town VT isn't the hotbed of exciting things to do, but you can check out sevendaysvt.com for some ideas.
