TO ANYONE LIVING IN VERMONT. Is this state as BEAUTIFUL as I've been told it is. I have onlt seen it in pictures, but my fiance says it breathtaking. I would like to visit one day and just see for myself, but in the meantime I ask myself "is it really that beautiful"? You tell me since you live there. |

Much of the state is beautiful, both in and out of towns. Picturesque villages, interesting architecture, rolling landscapes, hardwood forests. My understanding is that 75% of Vermont is forested. You may find more jaw dropping vistas in the Pacific Northwest, California, Southwest US, but Vermont is beautiful top to bottom. If you're to see it in person, wait for the foliage. |

I am a native Vermonter displaced to the south...alabama...Vermont is a really beautiful place but I cannot afford to live there...my husband is from Kentucky(Louisville)...we are planning on moving to Kentucky after we finish paying off our home here in alabama. Prolly someplace around Dale Hollow Lake. Myself...I love Kentucky and cant wait to find my own little holler' to live in. Kentucky reminds me alot of Vermont only with bigger mountains and a lower cost of living. As a tourist you will certainly fall in love with my home state. I wish I could live there as it is in my dna. Just to touch and smell that beautiful black soil again... |
